We love roses. NO! we are obsessed with roses. We plant them in our gardens, we bring them into our homes by vase after vase full, we decorate our beds with rose linens and our cupboards with rose china~ and why not~ we think they are the perfect flower.
Roses have a long and colorful history. They have been symbols of love, beauty, war, and politics. The rose is, according to fossil evidence, 35 million years old.* But then, so is the alligator! We think roses are more romantic~ don’t you?

Brand Yourself Before Someone Else Does

What makes you different from others in your same field?  What are you doing to set yourself apart from a multitude of like businesses?  If you aren't establishing an image for your business, others will surely be quick to do it for you.  Stop this before it happens because it might be the identity that you don't want for yourself, in other words, an identity that doesn't portray who you are and what you do.

Your goal is to distinguish yourself from others in your same field, those who do what you do.  Make sure you boast your talents and establish your reputation yourself.   This will make the difference in how successful you are.

Reinforcing and practicing brand consistency will get you the positive response you want from people.  As they hear your name, they will learn to trust your brand, and trust builds customer loyalty.

Welcome to Business in THE Bag!

Hello and welcome to my "brand" new business blog.  I started my website, Business in THE Bag, in September of 2007.   I now want to reach out to many business owners who blog who want to take their business to the next level....BRANDING! 
I own another web boutique called Jorabeels.com and was coming up short when it came to portraying a professional image, one that made me stand out from the crowd of millions of E-boutiques.  As I made my quest to find the right packaging to ship my products, I also learned that I needed to have my store name and logo on as many items as possible that would end up in the hands of many potential long term customers.
As I printed out invoices on letterhead, made my own branded thank you cards, stickers and address labels, I felt that this was something every business should be doing.  After speaking with my Sister and a couple of great friends/mentors, I came up with the idea of Business in THE Bag.  All your branding necessities, printed and placed into one convenient personalized tote.
I was lucky enough to be chosen by Country Living magazine to "Pitch My Product" at the annual Country Living Women Entrepreneur Event on March 15, 2008.  If your product is chosen (we will hear by June 25th), you will have an article written about your business idea in an upcoming magazine.  I truly am excited for this wonderful opportunity, it was a great experience, one I'll never forget.
I will begin this blog journey by emphasizing how important branding your business is and how you can become your own celebrity if you sincerely want to take your business to the next level.
